I can’t access the game. The game file is missing!

Some antiviruses delete the game once it is extracted, so kindly turn off your antivirus first and redownload the game. Some people also have more luck with the steam version.

How scary is the game? Are there jumpscares?

There are no jumpscares in Cupid. There are texts, artworks and sound effects depicting violence, blood and body horror, but they are not meant to jolt and shock. That said, the game has very heavy horror writing with 17+ rating. Please be advised accordingly.

I am getting virus scares when I open the game. Should I be worried?

The game is scanned with both Avast Antivirus and MalwareBytes and both came up clean. Some anti-viruses just give a false negative on Ren’py files, so hang tight! Honestly, even if I wanted to infect you with malware, I am not good a programmer to know what to do with it after LOL.

How to pronounce Guilleme’s name?
“Gil-yem” or “Gil-ʌm” are the pronunciations I worked with while writing. Some people pronounce it “Gi-yem”.

Can I make Let’s Play video? Can I make Fanart and Fanfics? Can I RP the characters?
Yes, you absolutely can! As long as you don’t take the game and characters and claim/sell them as yours, you have the freedom to do anything. Please share Cupid’s Itch.io and the official Tumblr so more people can enjoy it with us!

I’ve unlocked all the endings but my CGs are not complete! What’s happening?
Some CGs are variations of minor choices. For example, taking the dagger or key, or opening the locket/leaving it closed. Some of them are Mature Filter variations. If you played the game with Mature Filter ON, you aren’t going to see the unsafe CGs.

I can’t unlock the last ever CG! Help?
The last CG can be found in the “Guilleme’s Other Journal” Bonus and not in-game!

Do you have soundtracks I can buy?
All the music we have used in the game are taken from free music sources so we can’t put it up for sale.

I really like that song in in [Chapter xx]. Where can I find it? / What music did you use for the game?

Is Guilleme Rosa’s father?
I’m including this because I’ve received FAR too many questions about this lol. Short answer is No. They are supernatural creatures and therefore, were not born like normal humans. However, there is a reason why some endings end such a way, and those are up to the audience’s interpretation.

HINTS

To get Ending 1 the following conditions must be fulfilled:

  • Finish Ending 2
  • Open the locket
  • Don’t call Cath selfish
  • Mother does not believe Rosa and Guilleme are romantic
  • Don’t be verbally abusive to Rosa
  • Family is more important!
  • Do not take Guilleme’s dagger
  • Mother wants retribution and revenge!
  • Do it for Mother and Mother only!
  • It’s never for the greater good.
  • Mother wants to destroy Guilleme
  • Believe that Guilleme can “change”
  • Don’t stop Rosa from leaving
  • Tell Rosa to take care of herself


To get Ending 2:

  • Do not call Rosa a monster
  • Don’t be verbally abusive to Rosa

To get Ending 3:

  • Call Rosa a monster
  • Be verbally abusive to Rosa
  • Do not kill Guilleme

To get Ending 4:

  • Call Rosa a monster
  • Be verbally abusive to Rosa
  • Kill Guilleme

To get the “secret” ending:

  • Finish all the endings
  • Do not open the locket
  • Tell Rosa Guilleme can never change
  • Believe that Rosa is in love with Guilleme
  • Do not take the dagger, or the knife from the kitchen
  • Admit that killing Guilleme might not be the answer
  • Read all of Guilleme’s journal
  • Say goodbye to Rosa

Tips on how to get 100% completion

  • Complete all endings including the secret end
  • Unlock all the CGs
  • Play both Mature and Non-Mature versions
  • “Turn on Skip Seen Dialogue” so you can skip until new lines
  • Read the Production Notes, Epilogue and Bonuses
  • Turn on the “Origins” feature
  • Guilleme’s journal unlocks new pages with every new playthrough
  • Alternate between opening the locket and leaving it alone
